I'd be tempted to go for a new Mac Pro, but I don't think it'll make much difference.I'm trying to figure out what the new Mac Pros are like at single-core performance my guess is that even the top end one won't out preform my iMac on a single core (i.e. so often I get one core overloading and the rest barely in use: it's an awful pain in the ass. if you use 512 and don't track in VIs get an 8-core.if you like to play virtual instruments, and thus use 128/64 then all those extra cores are useless.logic will more or less only use the first core while tracking in a software instrument. The question is how do you use Logic: it's all about your buffer setting.
